Sabarbar: ORAL History workshops
On-line Seminar on Oral History for the neighborhoods of Exarchia, Athens

Free of charge. The seminar will be conducted in English.
«SabarBar» is an artistic project aiming to create songs and theater on the street, based on oral testimonies that will be collected in the area of Exarcheia. It begins on November 16th, with a free introductory training seminar on the methodology of oral history: the collection and processing of oral testimonies.
The seminar includes four 1½ hour online meetings and at least one live or online interview taken by each participant.
The seminar will be held in English and is addressed to residents of Athens of all nationalities with an interest in oral history. The seminar will happen through zoom and the maximum number of participants is 25. Priority will be given to people who live or are active in Exarchia.
SaBarBar was jointly created by Momina Algaga, Yaman Junaid, Fanis Katehos, Anna Magoulioti, Katerina Protonotariou, George Sachinis, Mohammad Tayeb and Vassia Valkanioti. It is a collaboration between UrbanDig Project and Fabrica Athens.
The action is part of the co-Athens implemented by the European pilot program of the Municipality of Athens Curing the Limbo. The program is co-financed by the ERDF under the UIA program.
