Free Time: Pikros
Saturday October 27 16:00 – 18:00, “En Omonia” café at Pireos Street 4, arcade
The event is based on Pikros’s story “As if we’ll become human beings” and is tied with a space where patrons of Omonia Square gather, a coffee shop , in one of the numerous surrounding arcades. Songs about the heroes of the book, will instigate a game of quest for modern “heroes”, on Omonia Square, that could accompany them. The event commences and wraps up at the café, matching heroes from the present and from the past, deepening into our own perception and familiarity with Omonia Square. A square that still inspires today, that can still be the home of creative communities, as shown by the collaborative projects of our team (2012-2018) that we are incorporating in this event.
Nancy Boukli receives and performs songs by Imam Baildi / lyrics by Christos Kanellopoulos from our performance named LEPIS. She also coordinates the discussion. The event includes a guided tour of the square with songs for its people composed by Christos Theodoros / lyrics by Christos Kanellopoulos and a digital application titled "The Village Omonia" by Company New Heroes in collaboration with our team and Assimina Kordatzi, Anna Liouli, Victor Malistas, Marina Merciadou, Christina Mitselou.
